It should be noted that there's no guarantee at all that Simeone will become the new manager, but it's a funny old game as we know, and all signs would seem to indicate that he could be on the way. Just the fact that River's President would come out and say that he wouldn't approach Diego so long as he was with Estudiantes, then a few days later Diego resigns...it is all rather convenient. No news yet.
