Viene el Superclásico

Forget about the season, about wins and losses, about everything else. The biggest and most important match in South America, not to mention one of the biggest derbies in world football, will take place at the Monumental stadium this Sunday. You can catch it on FSC or FSE, 1PM ET. River are of course going through uncertain times these days, with questions about the players and the coach, and have certainly looked erratic and at times plain awful this year. However, they are still undefeated at home this season, and haven’t lost to Boca in league play in the previous 4 meetings.
I may have mentioned it before, but one of the most spectacular events I’ve ever witnessed was River’s 3-1 win over Boca last October, which I was lucky enough to watch from the terraces. Two hours of emotion, drama, singing, and dancing - it was something to behold and certainly something I will never forget. Hopefully, River can push the problems of a disappointing season behind them and play 90 minutes of smart and attractive football against their most hated rivals and emerge victorious.
To get you pumped up, here’s are some fan clips, the first primarily showing last year’s game, the second, highlights from previous clásicos.
