Torneo de Invierno: River Plate v. San Lorenzo

River Plate are moments away from kicking off the Torneo de Invierno in Mar del Plata, taking on a new look San Lorenzo de Almagro, without Andres D’Alessandro and now managed by Miguel Russo after Ramon Diaz left Argentina to coach Mexico’s Club American. The mini tournament also features Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata and Independiente; the winner of that match tomorrow and today’s will meet this Wednesday to decide the winner.

For los millonarios, Juan Ojeda will begin in goal replacing the departed Juan Pablo Carrizo, and Ariel Ortega will start. Check back later for my take on the match, which you can watch live on TYC Sports, or…
