River Crash Out Of Peace Cup

River Plate 1 - 3 Lyon
River’s 2007 Peace Cup campaign came to an end last night, as French champions Lyon defeated los millonarios 3-1. Marco Ruben scored the lone goal. Yet again, I wasn’t able to watch the game, but Inara over at the Lyon blog has a great breakdown of the match.
I won’t say I’m not disappointed, but River did better then I think most people thought, and in the end, it seems like the team came together nicely. Now, it’s back to Buenos Aires to prepare for the upcoming Apertura season, which begins in a few weeks.
