Passarella to Resign Today?
By: Christian | November 15th, 2007Diario Olé is reporting this morning that coach Daniel Alberto Passarella is set to make an announcement this afternoon, in which he will most likely announce his resignation. This comes less than 24 hours after River’s elimination from the Copa Sudamericana at the hands of Arsenal on penalties, and less than 6 months after stating that he would leave at the end of the year if River did not win a single tournament.
Olé also reports that after last night’s loss, over 300 fans protested on the stadium terraces, calling for the resignation of Passarella and of River president José María Aguilar.
