More Problems for River Legend

Ariel Ortega’s troubles this year at River continue, as El Burrito’s future with the club is once again in doubt. Clarin is reporting that Ortega showed up late for training at the Monumental last Friday, only to be sent home by coach Daniel Passarella, who claimed he was in no condition to train with the team. Today he did not show up at all, and rumors are flying about possible sanctions.
Ortega’s ongoing battle with alcoholism continues and the situation does not seem to be getting any better. While he still retains the love of all River faithful, it appears that his days at the club are close to over.
