He is good in the air but to quote a great man, “if football was meant to be played in the air then God would have put the grass in the sky.”

He’s useful against teams with a physical threat but when you just want to get the ball down and play it then he is not your man for the job. I won’t be sad to see him go, but I also won’t be glad like I was with Zarate. Although to be fair to him he is a striker that needs to start every game to get the best out of him.

I rely on streams from http://www.rojadirecta.org and www1.myp2p.eu Sometimes they can be really choppy but recently it’s been almost tv quality stuff.

Horrible officiating indeed. There should have been a red card for that challenge on Buonanotte, and the second yellow on Ponzio was uncalled for.

As for Abreu, yeah, he’s not that great of a player, and he’s slower than molasses. But he can be effective when teamed up with Falcao (who was missing yesterday), and he’s clearly our biggest assest in the air. I doubt we’ll be seeing him next season though.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a disgraceful group of officials in my entire life. Both linesmen and the referee were absolutely atrocious, unbelievabley bad. Thankfully, we managed to ride Colon’s “kick the crap out of them at all costs” tactics to put together a pretty decent performance to make it a pretty enjoyable match.

I will say one thing, however. I like Abreu, don’t get me wrong, but we play so much better without him.
