A New Head Coach For River Plate?
By: Christian | December 4th, 2008Ole Clarin is reporting this evening that current Argentinos Juniors boss Néstor Gorosito is set to be named as head coach of River Plate. Neither team has confirmed or denied the reports, but Gorosito today did acknowledge receiving permission from Argentinos to speak with River President José Aguilar recently to discuss the position.
The impending announcement would put an end to a weeks-long hunt for a successor to Diego Simeone, a search which at one time included names such as Ramón Díaz and Omar Labruna as possible candidates.
