Christian, Do you think Simeone will forfeit this tournament in favour of going for the league, or will River be strong enough to compete on both fronts?

    Rangers and River!

It’s hard to tell. River have not had a very good off-season so far, and badly needed reinforcements, especially in defense, hasn’t been addressed. Who we get and our performance in the Copa de Verano will give us a better idea of just how good River will be. You can expect the official club line to be that they will fight hard in both tournaments, but remember, the Clausura is up for grabs with “smaller” clubs like champions Lanus, Tigre, and Banfield all solid contenders, so if River can’t find the talent this off season, they may have to focus on winning one trophy.
